I’ve been overwhelmed lately. I feel stuck. I’ve made so many mistakes in my past that I’m afraid to move forward. I called out to God and asked Him to fill me with His perfect love that casts out fear.
He taught me that fear and love are more than emotions. They are states of “being”. Living in the state of fear has immobilized me. Being immobilized ~ I’m like the servant in the Parable of the Talents (Matthew 25:14-30) that buried his talent.
God taught me that if I “move” ~ if I do something ~ He has something to work with. If I make a mistake ~ He works all things for good. Whether I succeed or make a mistake the Potter has something to mold. If I stay frozen in fear…. nothing moves forward. All is lost.
So the question is… how do I (we) live in a state of love?
By being it! Drawing from God’s love. Speaking life ~ “death and life are in the power of the tongue” Proverbs 18:21, act lovingly, give love. Live and move in love.
The key being MOVE! Fear keeps you frozen. Love gives you the freedom to move.
Give the Potter something to work with. Don’t bury your talents.
Use what He gives you… and let Him use you!
